The legend is back at Old Trafford

The name Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, in short, Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t an unfamiliar name to the 7.8 billion men and women around the globe.

Isn’t it?

He is one of the most celebrated and the greatest football player that the world has ever witnessed. And, for this very reason, he is often claimed as G.O.A.T in football.

And yes! For those who are confused by the term GOAT, it means Greatest Player Of All Time, and not the one you are thinking of 😜.

Ronaldo, also known as “CR7” and “El Bicho”  was one of the highest-paid athletes on the Forbes lists.

In his career, he has won more than 32 major trophies, one UEFA Nations League and one UEFA European Championship.

Ronaldo, the captain of the Portugal national team used to be the forward for the Juventus club. However, according to the recent news, he will be reuniting with his earlier club Manchester United.

So, in this blog let’s see a brief biography and bring down the spotlight on the recent news of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Life:-

Born in Sao Pedro, Funchal, (On the Portuguese island of Madeira,) Ronaldo grew up in Santo Antonio. He is the fourth child of chef Maria Dolar and municipal gardener and part-time kit man Jose Dinis Aveiro.

According to his mother, he is the child whom his mother decided to abort due to poverty and his father’s alcoholic nature.

He began his soccer career in 1992, playing for the Andorinha until 1995, where his father worked as a part-time kit man, and then for Nacional for two years.

He signed a three-day trial with Sporting CP for £1,500 when he was just 12 years old.

He relocated from Madeira to Alcochete, near Lisbon, to join the sporting's youth academy.

At the age of 14, Ronaldo understood his potential and decided to continue his career in soccer.

To do so, he asked his mother to cease his educational expenses and entirely focus on football.

Are you aware of Ronaldo's tragic life?

Let's have a look at it in further depth.

He was well-liked by his classmates, although he was once expelled from school after throwing a chair at his teacher,  for the reason of disrespecting him. But the tragedy does not end here.

Apart from that, one year later he was diagnosed with a racing heart, which forced him to give up playing football.

Someone once said that Ronaldo can't live without soccer, just as fish can't live without water.

He was born to play. So, He underwent heart surgery and after a successful operation, he resumed training again after a few days.

Sports Career

Laszlo Boloni (first-team manager) was pleased by his dribbling and was promoted him at the age of 16. He was the first player to play for the under-16,17, and 18 teams at this age.

Later, on 29 September 2002, he made his contribution in the Primeira Liga against Braga and also scored two goals in a 3-0 win against Moreirense on 7 October.

Following the defeat against Sporting, Manchester United manager (Alex Ferguson) opted to sign Ronaldo on a long-term contract in 2003.

It was originally planned to sign him and then loan him back to Sporting for a year. United's player, on the other hand, had encouraged Ferguson to sign him.

After the game, Ferguson decided to pay sporting £12.24 million for one of the youngest players in the league.

After a decade of service, sporting honors Ronaldo by choosing him as their 100,000th member.

Signature Move of Ronaldo

Highest Header

Ronaldo showcased his extreme level of athleticism in a game against Juventus and Sampdoria, where he has challenged the average human ability to jump.

He had jumped an astonishing height of 71 cm to reach the ball at a height of 2.56 cm to secure the goal.

Knuckleball

Knuckleball the initially used to be known as Folha Seca was first invented by Brazilian star Didi, but presently these skills can be seen from CR7’s dexterous foot where the ball would hit with no or little spin, leading it to swing unpredictably towards the goal.

El Ferrari

When it comes to his favorite and most effective technique, the “Ronaldo chop” is unbeatable.

Where he uses the inside of either foot to slide the ball inside an opponent's standing leg at an angle that causes him to change direction.

Back to home

Real Madrid's five-time Ballon d'Or winner, Ronaldo will make a stunning Old Trafford homecoming after Manchester United negotiated a price with Juventus for his services.

Ronaldo is likely to join Manchester United after the granting of visa and clearance of physical test, on a two-year agreement, with United agreeing to pay an initial €15m to the Italian club, plus up to €8m in incentives over that period.

Up until Friday, Manchester City appeared to be the most likely destination for the Portugal striker.

However, on Friday afternoon, City stated that they were no longer interested after Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, held negotiations with Juventus officials in Turin on Wednesday about a prospective move to the Etihad Stadium.

“Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical” it says.

Ronaldo's Juventus deal, at an estimated €31 million each season after-tax, will expire in less than a year.

Manchester City was reportedly hesitant to pay a price for a player who would turn 37 in February and with whom they had never reached an agreement on personal matters during a potential two-year contract.
